Is there car parking located close to Academy Plaza Hotel?
Yes, there is third party car parking facilities located less than 100 metres adjacent to the hotel. Q-Park the Spire (Eircode: D01 W207) has over 500 car parking spaces including disabled and electric charging points with a drive through height of 1.9 meters. We advise hotel guests to have your parking ticket validated at the hotel reception in order to avail of our special discounted 24-hour rate. This discount offer is not available for prepaid tickets. Q-Park the Spire operates 24/7 and accepts cash along with all major credit cards.
Do you offer a place to store your luggage?
Academy Plaza Hotel provides convenient luggage storage facilities for our guests. If you arrive before check-in time, we are happy to hold your baggage for you. However, please note that we are unable to store luggage overnight on the day of your check-out. Please be aware that the hotel is not responsible for any misplaced, damaged, or mishandled luggage that is left in our storage area. Additionally, any bags remaining in storage after 9pm will be removed.

How far is Academy Plaza Hotel from Dublin Airport?
Academy Plaza Hotel is located 10 Kilometres or 7 Miles from Dublin Airport with approximately 25-40 minutes travel time depending on traffic. Dublin Airport can be easily reached by public bus, aircoach or by car. The hotel does not offer a shuttle service to and from the airport. However the Aircoach drop off, Dublin City Centre, O' Connell Street, RIU Gresham Hotel and pick up, Dublin City Centre, O' Connell Street, OPP RIU Gresham Hotel are both located less than 100 meters from the hotel on O' Connell Street, Dublin City Centre.
Are there Hair dryers in the guest bedrooms?
Yes Academy Plaza Hotel provides hair dyers in all bedrooms and are located in the closet drawer in the bedroom area.
Does Academy Plaza Hotel offer a shuttle bus service to / from Dublin airport ?
No, the hotel does not offer this service. However the aircoach (third party service) drops off and picks up less than 100 metres from the hotel lobby on O' Connell street.
What are the Hotel policies on areas such as noise, theft and smoking?
We are a fully non-smoking hotel.
Quite Time, Excessive Noise and Parties:
To ensure the comfort and safety of all guests at our hotel, we have a strict policy regarding disturbance, parties, and excessive noise. From 9pm to 10am, we observe a quiet time policy. Any individuals found causing disturbance, especially during quiet time, will face consequences. If a disturbance occurs, we will kindly request that the noise and disturbance be stopped immediately for the comfort of other guests. If there are additional breaches of our policy, we may be forced to evict the guest(s) from our property and report the incident to the Gardaí. It is the responsibility of the registered guest(s) to maintain the condition of their room as it was provided. Additional guests are not permitted in guest rooms, only registered guests are allowed.
The hotel policy laid out here but not limited to are, those under the influence of alcohol, drugs and any intoxicating substance along with behaving in a disorderly fashion. Those who may be danger to themselves our staff or our guests will be removed. Any damage, destruction, abusive and threading behaviour and those who fail to follow policy may and will be asked to leave our property those who do not comply we will contact our police force An Garda Siochana to remove those parties.
Our staff are trained to deal and respond to any breaking of our policy’s. Those who refused to behave in a reasonable fashion, any verbal, physical abuse will not be tolerated. The safety of our guests and staff are paramount. Those in breach will be asked to leave the property and failing to do so will be removed.
Guests are liable for any damage caused deliberate or otherwise. The destruction of hotel property will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to charge and retain the guests credit card in accordance with GDPR and charge and debit the card to make good of the loss or expect or replacement of the damage done. Damage is to all property, smoking, cleaning fee, replacement to equipment etc. Should excessive damage occur a contract fee may apply for replacement/refurbishment of hotel structure. Cost will be transparent and invoice will be provided.
Health & Safety Systems Fire protection equipment:
It is illegal to tamper with fire safety and protection equipment. Guests found to have tampered, destructed or damaged equipment will be asked to leave and to pay to make good of damages/replacement. The removal of smoke detector heads in guests’ rooms will not be tolerated and guests will be asked to leave/removed from property with no refund on guest stay. The Gardaí will be notified and may become involved at the Hotel’s discretion.
Check In, how does it work?
To ensure a smooth check-in process and protect both guests and the property, we kindly request a credit card authorisation (pre-auth) upon arrival. This will be used to cover any incidental charges, including damages or additional cleaning fees.
Please note that this authorisation validates the presented credit card and safeguards against fraud. The amount may also include a security bond for damages. The pre-authorised funds will be temporarily set aside by the credit card company for up to 10 days, impacting your available funds or spending limit.
It's important to understand that once a pre-authorisation has been made, we are unable to release, remove, or lower the authorised amount until the final account is processed upon departure. This is a restriction imposed by the bank and cannot be negotiated.

What time is Check In/Check Out?
Check in time commences daily from 16:00. Check out time finishes at 11:00. Academy Plaza Hotel will wherever possible accommodate early check. However especially during high season this may not be possible. However we can offer luggage storage from early arrivals.

We have singles, doubles, twins, triples, quads and wheelchair accessible rooms available on request.
What is your hotel pet policy?
It is hotel policy not to allow animals on the premises. This policy includes all pets.
I am visually impaired and require a guide dog for assistance?
Registered guide dogs and other assistance dogs are permitted. Please notify manager on duty upon arrival if any additional assistance is required.
What time does breakfast start and finish?
Breakfast is served from 07:00-10:00 Monday-Saturday in the Plaza Bar and Grill Restaurant. Sunday breakfast is served from 07:30-11:00am.
