"I cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful customer service I received at the Academy Plaza - in particular, from Paris, working on reception. My stay was for a particularly sad reason and Paris went out of her way to ensure I had everything I needed, even leaving a card and chocolates in my room and generally being so kind and supportive throughout my stay. She is an asset to the hotel. The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout and the restaurant served a perfect breakfast each morning. I genuinely hope to return very soon."

"Enjoyed our stay at the academy plaza. The hotel was very well presented and spotlessly clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. And we especially liked the take out hot drink cups available at breakfast. Our negative points would be that our room 104 while it didn’t have a great view looking at the back of what we think was a pub which is not the problem as we didn’t pay any extra for a view but it was noisy until early hours. Also we found the the cleaners could be noisy at times banging doors and at one time stood outside our room talking for long enough to make me get up and go out and ask them to move. This being said it didn’t spoil our stay and we would return and recommend."
