Lovely kind staff ❤️

This is a beautiful hotel and the location was perfect to get around the city!

Excellent hotel,great location,friendly helpful staff good breakfast selection and value for money good room my only negative is the shower ,we had shower over bath not very good pressure controls are on bath taps so not good also you cant remove the shower head to rinse.but i would stay here again

Although having been able to stay there only for one night because of health issues we can say it was a well run and efficient and clean hotel. They cared superbly for the needs of their guests and tried to make everything possible. A highly recommended stay in Dublin.

Review: Academy Hotel General Impression & Location The Academy is a very pleasant hotel with exceptionally friendly staff. The entrance is well-maintained and provides a great first impression of the hotel. Furthermore, the location is excellent and easily accessible from the airport. Dining The breakfast was well-organized; despite it being very busy, everything remained well-stocked. There was an impressive variety of food choices available. The Room We stayed in a triple room which was sufficiently spacious, although it required some planning regarding the use of the bathroom. Points for Improvement While the bathroom was very clean and hygienic, there are several maintenance issues that require attention: Shower door: The door did not close properly. It was only possible to close it by manually adjusting the rubber seal at the bottom. Flooring: One of the floor tiles was broken, leaving sharp edges that could easily cause injury. Fixtures: A towel hook on the door was loose, and the toilet seat was not securely fastened, which is inconvenient and unstable during use. Layout: The toilet paper holder is placed in an illogical position (to the far left), even though there is plenty of space for a more accessible placement. Finishing: The grouting of the tiles appears unprofessional and lacks a clean finish.

We booked the hotel for our group based on the location, in the middle of the city centre. Staff was super friendly and helpful from the start throughout our stay. Rooms were modern, breakfast was very good. We would recommend the hotel and thank again the staff for their assistance during our stay.

Welcoming, friendly, helpful is the overlying theme. As a regular "Solo" visitor to Dublin, the Academy Plaza Hotel is my usual first stop online for availability. It is wonderfully centrally located, doorstep onto Luas with easy access to business, attractions, & theatres. The hotel offers single rooms, at single rates. The expansive breakfast area is well appointed & amply caters to all tastes. I notice regular staff faces over the years, so they must find it rewarding to work there. For balance, a slight moan, some single rooms seem to be a little tight for the furniture compliment e.g. having to move chair. But overall, accommodation & food fare maintained by amiable, approachable staff, brings me home away from home, every time.

I recently stayed at the Academy Plaza Hotel for two nights and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. One of the highlights of my stay was dinner at the hotel restaurant. I ordered the ribeye steak with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables, and the staff was more than happy to accommodate a change in sides from the menu, which I really appreciated. The meal was absolutely delicious. I also had a French martini that was truly memorable—the bartender added freeze-dried strawberries on top, which was such a creative and delightful touch. Both the food and drink exceeded my expectations. My room was a single, and while it wasn’t large, it was very clean and comfortable. I slept incredibly well, and I have to mention the shower—it was the hottest I experienced during my entire visit to Ireland, which was a welcome luxury after long days of exploring. In the morning, I enjoyed breakfast at the hotel and was impressed by the coffee machine. I had both a latte and a cappuccino, and both were excellent. The hotel’s location is another major plus. It’s centrally located, making it easy to walk to restaurants, shops, and sightseeing spots around Dublin. I hardly needed transportation during my stay because everything was so accessible. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dublin. I will definitely be returning on my next trip!

The hotel is at a very convenient location. The breakfast was great. Our room was clean and comfortable and well equipped. The bathroom ceiling had a spot where the plaster was crumbling and fell down. Other than that, our short stay was wonderful. We'd absolutely stay here again.

The hotel location was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful and hotel rooms were modern, stylish and clean. We had lunch and Dinner in the hotel bar and it was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very nice stay for two nights. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I found the bed to be very firm but my partner was satisfied and slept well. My only complaint was that the coffee was abysmal but luckily there is a cafe in the lobby with delicious options available.
