Everything perfect (5) except the bed (3) and the shower (3)

The main reasons as to why my husband & I chose once again to stay at the Academy Plaza Hotel, apart from the still reasonable prices, are because the hotel is right in the heart of the city centre which in turn places it within a few minutes from public transport, shopping malls, amenities, eateries and places of interest. As soon as you step inside the hotel, its decor makes you feel extremely welcome, whilst the front-office, housekeeping & bar staff are always accommodating, courteous and very efficient indeed. Breakfast is also worth praising, for its variety, and heartiness. Last but not least, we would like to sincerely thank you all (incl the kitchen & maintenance staff) for all the good work, which keeps encouraging us to choose your hotel again for our next visit to Dublin. Actually a nice hotel with very friendly and courteous staff. Unfortunately, we had a room facing the street, which was too noisy to sleep in, especially on weekends, due to people partying and arguing, as the windows are not soundproofed at all. Even during the week, you were woken up by the street sweepers at 6:30 a.m. at the latest. Friends who had a room facing the courtyard did not have this problem, however.

The Academy Plaza far exceeded my expectations. We felt so safe there due to the need for a key to access lifts, toilets and rooms. Spacious bar and lobby area. Comfortable bed and powerful shower. Good variety at breakfast. The staff are so professional and helpful. Looking forward to our next stay.

The staff were all very helpful. The rooms were small but clean and nice. I like the location and as a solo traveler, felt safe in the area. The price per night was reasonable.

Everything was first rate - friendly (and early) check-in, and the room was immaculate. Had the best night's sleep in a long time. Christmas dinner in the restaurant exceeded expectations and was excellent value for money too. Again, all the staff there contributed to making my visit most enjoyable. Will definitely stay again, especially given how handy it is for transport links in and out of Dublin. Thanks to all.

Very nice hotel! Staff very friendly, food was great, rooms are small but worked. Only issue was the front desk staff. They were nice and helpfu,l but they all seemed to not know what was going on. Basic questions to way to long to answer or figure out.

I strongly recommend considering this place for your stay. It's conveniently located and easily accessible on foot to various areas around town, making it a great choice for exploring.

This hotel is definitely a Hidden Gem in Dublin City Centre! Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff (especially Paris & Alexandra!) & exceptional value if booked directly with the hotel. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend. Thank you all for making our family stay so special.

Booking in was a little confusing as staff couldn't find the booking I had made fie myself and 3 other couples. Room very small, but lovely and comfortable. Clean and tidy. Staff friendly, breakfast as always was delightful. We've been staying here for over 10 years and will be back next year.

Nice clean hotel, good breakfast, centrally located, helpful desk staff and good discount on car parking. Would recommend.

Very nice hotel ,good staff and good breakfast

I stayed for 1 night recently while attending a concert in Dublin and was very satisfied with my stay. The location is excellent and hotel is modern. I had a room with 2 twin beds which was very comfortable. My rate of €75 included breakfast. Breakfast was full buffet, plenty of choice and very good quality. All staff I encountered very very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend for a short stay.

Would I stay at Academy Plaza again. Absolutely! The hotel has a lovely feel, the room was nice - clean and reasonably modern. Loved having a safe. The location was superb and the breakfast was nothing short of sensational. My only criticism would be that most of our encounters with the staff was not what we expected. Not overly friendly. They weren’t rude but we just didn’t feel that warm Irish hospitality we were expecting. It wouldn’t stop us staying there again though.
