"We have stayed at this hotel many times. We go to Dublin annually for a horse racing meeting. The hotel fits the bill for us, especially if we book in advance, there is normally a better rate. We did ask for an upgrade but were advised it would cost more, so we didn't bother. I have travelled to many places and stayed in a number of hotels whereby upgrades on the day are free gratis. Day one breakfast wasn't really up to usual standard. The eggs in particular had been lying too long. Day 2 was as expected, great."

"We had a very pleasant stay at the Academy Plaza. At our arrival we got a room with an extremely small double bed which did not fit- neither our weight nor age. The staff was very helpful and changed the room according to our wishes. Thank you once again for that!!! Food was very rich and delicious!"

"Our stay was marked by elevators that did not work. It was difficult to have to navigate steps at the age of 72 and 74 when the elevators are staring you in the face. The fact that the bathroom was so small, you couldn't even turn around was also drawback. Other than that, it was pleasant enough."
